Red Medallion is a premium blend consisting of five noble varieties from Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
Each grape variety is selected by our winemaker and vinified and matured for 12 months separately. Thereafter the different varieties are blended together and matured again in the cellar for a further year in 300-liter French oak barrels with another two years in the bottle prior to release.
Red Medallion has been quoted by the famous Bordeaux specialist Andrew Jefford (columnist for Decanter magazine) as “The Latour of the Cape”. It is a complex and rich red wine of power, intensity and structure.
